Do Home Made Solar Panels absolutely Work? - A Look Into the Viability of Homemade power

So by now just about every person has heard of the latest craze in alternative energy, home made solar panels, but do these panels categorically work? Read on to find out more.

If you have spent any time researching alternative power solutions for your home online, you will categorically have come across many ads proclaiming you can make your own homemade power by using a diy (do it yourself) solar power guide.

These guides are very appealing as they figure how you can build your own home made solar panels for a fraction of the cost of a retail system (around 0).

But the big ask is how effective are they? Do they live up to the hype and claims of a discount of 80% or more off your power bills?

Well you may be surprised to hear the rejoinder is an emphatic Yes!.

As with a lot of items that are sold on the internet there is a lot of scepticism and rightly so as a lot of junk is sold, but if you get one of the great diy solar power kits that guide you straight through the process of production your own home made solar panels you will be amazed and delighted with the results.

The panels are very effective, especially for appliances such as televisions, computers, household lighting, radios and just about anything you can think of that doesn't want 3 phase power such as ducted air-conditioning units, in my plan these heavier power drawing devices are best left on mains, on grid power sources.

In our households taste we are yet to reap the promised 80% but we appraisal we are running at colse to 70% less power firm supplied energy, this translated to some very salutary savings indeed.

The Effectiveness Of Solar Panels In The Winter

When they think about installing a home solar system, I am sure that a lot of population wonder whether it will be as sufficient in the dark winter periods as it is in the summer when there is lots of sunlight. This is the issue I want to write about today. Simply put, they are not quite as sufficient but that can be overcome. I will elaborate.

Firstly I will discuss how they work as basically as possible. Then I will try to clarify what we can do to make them as useful as inherent in the winter.

Homemade Air Conditioning

Lots of population think that solar energy is created from the heat in the sun's rays. That is for real a myth and is easy to dispel though. It is true that the rays of the sun are the source of the power but it has nothing to do with the heat that they contain.

The rays are still there and break straight through the clouds during the days when clouds are up in our atmosphere. Even though they probably will not be as excellent and effective, they will still get straight through to us. The only thing that we have to remember though is to just keep the solar cells clear of any snow though when that is around.

More prominent than the clouds is the fact that the days are shorter and the nights are longer so there are more hours of darkness. To get over that we must store as much energy as we can during the hours when there is adequate sunshine.

There is fullness of energy advent from the sun for anyone we need and it is unlikely to run out of power for a very long time. If it does, we will not be colse to anyway. We can obtain the energy in arrays of batteries and then use it during the night if we need it. In expanding to that, while there is fullness of sun colse to during the summer, we must store that up for the winter days when we cannot obtain as much.

It is similar to the way that farmers store their crops in barns to feed the animals during the winter. It is slightly different though because the farmers cannot obtain any crops in the winter but we can obtain some electricity.

So to sum up, solar panels do work in the winter but not as effectively as in the summer so we have to reserve some energy from the good times for hereafter use.
